What this actually means
Four things, not just a badge on a footer.
Encrypted, always
In transit, while a file is moving, and at rest, while it's sitting in storage – every file, every time. An intercepted file is useless to anyone but you.
Hosted on SOC 2 Type II audited infrastructure
Verified over time, not just a point-in-time snapshot.
A full audit trail
Every file has a record: who opened it, when, from where. If you ever need to account for where a file went, the answer already exists.
Links that expire
A shared file doesn't live forever in a sent folder. Access is time-limited, so an old link can't quietly become a liability months later.
Why not just email it?
Attachments don't expire, don't track, and don't stay put.
An emailed spreadsheet lives in an inbox indefinitely, gets forwarded without anyone's knowledge, isn't encrypted at rest by most email providers, and leaves no record of who actually opened it. None of that is a flaw in email – email was never built to be a data room. A dedicated portal is.
Why it matters to you
It's a real line in a proposal, not just a cost.
"We don't move your data over email" is something you can say with a straight face – to a board treasurer, a compliance officer, or a client asking how their information is protected. It's the difference between saying you're careful with data and being able to prove it.
Have a question about how a specific file or project would move through this process? Ask on the call – it's easier to walk through with a real example than to explain in the abstract.
Get started
Start with the audit.
One conversation, one fixed fee, one real number for what your data actually needs.

You'll be on the call with the person doing the work. I've led multiple CRM migrations from the client side, and every time, clean data to the implementer was on me. Once with no data team at all. Now I do it for you.
